Planning Your Trip

When is the best time to visit Vietnam?

expand_more
Vietnam is a long country with three distinct climate zones. For the best weather nationwide, consider visiting from November to April. However, the lush greenery is most vibrant just after the rainy season in October.

What should I pack for a VNGroup Tourist tour?

expand_more
Lightweight, breathable clothing is essential. We recommend a mix of moisture-wicking fabrics, a sturdy pair of walking shoes, a light rain jacket, and modest attire for visiting temples (covering shoulders and knees).

Booking & Payments

What payment methods do you accept?

expand_more
Bank transfer to our USD or VND account, with no fee on our side (you only pay your own bank's fee), or a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay) through an online payment link, which adds a 3% fee.

For multi-day tours we usually ask for 50% of the tour cost when the booking is confirmed, 30% three days before the tour starts, and the remaining 20% in cash on arrival or by payment link. Airfares are paid in full at confirmation. Each tour page shows its exact terms under "Payment & cancellation".

Can I cancel my tour and get a refund?

expand_more
Yes. Please send cancellations in writing; email is fine.

Day tours: free cancellation at least 7 days before departure, a 50% fee 3 to 6 days before, and a 100% fee within 2 days.
Multi-day tours: 30 days or more before the service date, a full refund minus bank fees; 16 to 29 days, 50% of the deposit; 8 to 15 days, 25% of the deposit; less than 8 days, no refund.

Some public holidays have their own terms. The exact policy for each tour is on its tour page.

Travel Safety

Do I need travel insurance?

expand_more
It is not required for entry, but we strongly recommend travel insurance that covers medical emergencies and trip cancellations. Travel insurance is not included in our tour prices.

Is the tap water safe to drink in Vietnam?

expand_more
Tap water is not safe to drink. Most of our tours include bottled water, and bottled water is cheap and sold everywhere.

Visa & Entry
